In 1959 Sac State students paid 25 cents per gallon to fill their tanks and drive to class. If you wanted to see a movie after an exhausting day of tests, that would be one dollar. Times have certainly changed for graduates of this era, many of whom will be returning to campus for their 50 year reunion.
The Golden Grads Reunion is an annual event hosted by the Alumni Association during Homecoming week. The luncheon celebrates the lives of alumni who graduated from Sacramento State 50 or more years ago.
Golden Grads Reunion Lunch
The 2013 reunion will celebrate the classes of 1949-1963. Graduates, family members as well as University faculty, staff, and friends are invited to enjoy a lunch and a walk down memory lane that includes viewing memorabilia and photos.
Submit a Memory
We are also asking our Golden Grads to share memories of their days as a student at Sacramento State to be included in the Golden Grads program. Whether a story about your favorite professor or the time you met your college sweetheart, we would like to hear about it! Please click here to submit your memory. We are also collecting photographs. Please submit your photos to alumni@csus.edu.
