Announcing the 30th Issue of the

Journal of California and Great Basin Anthropology

The JCGBA was established in 1974 as the Journal of California AnthropologySoon thereafter Robert Heizer, Philip Wilke, Harry Lawton and Katherine Saubel discussed the need for a journal dealing with the Great Basin at a meeting of the GBAC. The journal was renamed the Journal of California and Great Basin Anthropology in 1979.

The 30th Anniversary issue includes an introduction dealing with the history of the journal, Katherine Saubel's original letter from the President and an index of all issues since 1974.
