Army ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) is one of the best leadership programs in the country and can be a part of a student’s college curriculum here at the California State University, Sacramento. Learning to become a leader will enrich your college experience and prepare you with valuable leadership skills to help you succeed in college, the U.S. Army, and throughout the rest of your life. Along with great leadership training, Army ROTC can pay for your college tuition.

Army ROTC is an elective, meaning that you can participate throughout your freshman and sophomore year without any obligation to join the Army. You will have a college experience unlike that of your peers on campus. It gives you the tools, training, and experiences that will help you succeed in any competitive environment. Your leadership skills, intelligence, personal courage, physical ability, and determination will be put to the test, but when you graduate, you will be commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army with the confidence and ability to lead Soldiers.

The Forged Gold Program is comprised of the University of California, Davis and California State University, Sacramento.
