Consultation

A primary goal of the Academic Technology and Creative Services Unit is to assist Sacramento State faculty and staff with the use of technology in support of the academic mission of the University. Working in conjunction with the Sac State Division of Information Resources Technology, a wide range of consultation options are available including:

  • Advice and Referral
    ATCS professional staff are available to provide advice on online course development processes, tools and resources, developing learning materials, techniques for using technology in the teaching/learning process, and many other related areas. These services can be accessed on a drop-in basis at ARC 3005, by phone (916) 278-3370, via e-mail atcs@csus.edu, or by contacting an individual staff person directly.
  • Faculty/Staff Resource Center
    Located in ARC 3012, the FSRC consists of a computer lab/resource center available to faculty and staff on a drop-in basis, two project rooms with specialized equipment that may be reserved, and two training rooms used for university training activities. The FSRC is staffed with consultants to answer questions and direct faculty and staff users to resources and specialized services as appropriate. During regular FSRC hours, faculty needing online course development assistance are asked to go directly to the ATCS offices located in ARC 3005.
  • 1on1 Help @ ATCS  (Open Lab)
    Each Thursday ATCS  hosts an open lab in ARC 3005 from 1 – 4 pm.  Operated on a drop-in basis, with no appointment necessary, the 1on1 Help @ ATCS lab provides an opportunity for Sac State faculty and staff to work one-on-one with ATCS professional staff in the areas of eLearning course development and general computing issues.
  • Help Desk
    The Help Desk provides Sac State faculty, staff and students assistance with SacLink accounts and associated resources.  Located in ARC 2005, the University Help Desk can be visited in person, by phone (916) 278-7337 or via email helpdesk@csus.edu
