36 pt Arial Bold

  • Title: Use a large, bold font. Make the font size between 72 and 120 points.

  • Subtitles: (author's names, titles, name of school or institution. etc.), use the same font as your title, but make the font size smaller between 48-80 points than the title.

  • Section Headers: (Abstract, Introduction, Results, etc.), use the same font as your title and subtitle. Make the font size approximately 50% larger than the body text, between 36-72 points. Make sure that all section headers are the same font size.

  • Body Text: Choose a typeface that is very readable such as Times New Roman if you prefer a serif typeface, or Arial if you like a sans serif typeface. Make the font size between 18–36 points. Make sure that the body text is the same font throughout the entire poster.

  • DON'T USE ALL CAPS for any portion of your poster. Capitals letters are harder to read and it looks like you are shouting.
