In many disciplines, there is a need to develop interactive modules designed to engage students with targeted feedback, input activities or embedded media while providing them tutorial content. Art works with faculty to develop these types of modules using the program Toolbook Instructor. These modules may be used on local machines, in smart classrooms as teaching applications, distributed on CD, or deployed on the worldwide web. Easy links to Toolbook applications can be included in Web CT or on any web page. Art offers workshops through the training program to provide faculty with an introduction to the Toolbook Assistant, a site licensed “light” version of Toolbook, which allows faculty to create more basic, yet very interactive, presentations and quizzes of their own – without writing any code!
