PRINTING & SCANNING

Use the printers and scanners in the FSRC to complete your course or other campus work related projects. Refer to the Guides below to get you started on using these resources.

Resources Guides

Guides require the use of Acrobat Reader, unless otherwise identified. Get Acrobat Reader

  • Free Printing, Copying and Scanning
Print from any computer station Black and White or Color documents using the Lexmark, Dell and Brother printers located in the main lab area of the FSRC. Use the Brother Multifunction machine to scan photos, documents with text or images from any computer station or use scanners located next to specific computers in main lab area or training rooms.
  • Scanning a Document to PDF
Use Adobe Acrobat Professional to scan documents, images and articles into PDF format to share with students or other users. Scanning into PDF format maintains the document's original content and layout and facilitates sharing of files. Documents can be easily scanned from any computer station using the Brother Multifunction Printer or from seperate scanners connected to specific computers in training rooms or main lab area.
  • Creating Editable Text:  From a Scan or from a File
Use OmniPage Pro to create documents and other files that contain editable text which can be recognized by screen reading software that is used by users with visual impairments, thus making your documents more accessible to different users. In addition, file size of documents can be reduced by converting image text into editable text. OmniPage Pro is available in all Windows computer stations in the FSRC.
