Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Settings

To connect to the media server with any Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) program, you need the settings shown in the table below.

Username
Your Saclink ID
Password
Your Saclink Password
Your Directory
Refer to the email you received from account administrator

Filezilla on Mac

  1. Open FileZilla If you do not have this free program, you can download it from the FileZilla project site (for Mac and Windows).
  2. Click File > Site Manager
  3. Site Manage Dialog opens

  4. Click New Site button
  5. Enter SacFiles SFTP
  6. Host field: Enter csus-sftp1.saclink.csus.edu
  7. Port field: Enter 22
  8. Server Type: SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol
  9. Login Type: Ask For Password
  10. User: Saclink Username

  11. Click Advanced tab.
  12. Default remote directory: Enter /media1/usr/saclinkid

  13. Click Connect
  14. You will be prompted for your password.

  15. Click OK and Filezilla will complete the authorization check and connect to the appropriate directory.
