TOOLBOOK
News
Toolbook is currently only a Windows product, although many applications will run in Firefox on a Mac. A new version due in a few months, will be able to be packaged for Safari on the Mac, as well as for the iPhone for mobile learning. All authoring, however, will remain only on the Windows PC platform.
About
Toolbook is an application that enables faculty and instructional designers to create interactive e-learning activities for both classroom presentation and quizzing.
There are two versions of Toolbook:
Toolbook Assistant is designed for non-programmers and it allows you to create activities that include immediate feedback, scoring, and many types of media files. Authors need not write code; all prescripted objects are drag-and-drop from an included catalogue.
Toolbook Instructor is for developers and enables them to create simulations and interactive exercises with multimedia. Custom code writing, using Toolbook’s “Action Script” allows much more complex interactivity than that available with the Toolbook Assistant. |
