Bring your One Card and the red advising folder you received at orientation. If you did not attend orientation, you will receive an advising folder. Bring copies of transcripts of any college courses you have taken.
Can I just drop in for an appointment?
After the first week of class there are very few drop-in appointments available. The best way to see an advisor at NSAC is to search the scheduling calendar for the available times that fit your schedule.
What if I am a freshman or newly transferred student and I fail to see an advisor at NSAC?
You will not be allowed to register for classes the following semester until you meet with an advisor.
What if I schedule an appointment but forget to come?
If you schedule an appointment and forget to come or are more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, you will have to schedule another appointment. You will not be able to get another appointment for at least 24 hours.
What if the times that are available for advising appointments are not times that I am free?
If you cannot find an available advising time that works for you, send an e-mail to Melanie Loo, mwloo@csus.edu to try to arrange an alternate meeting time.
