President’s spring address set
President Alexander Gonzalez will give his spring address to the campus community Thursday, Jan. 22, in University Union Ballroom I and II. The event will begin with coffee and conversation from 9-10 a.m. in Ballroom III. The President’s talk will follow at 10 a.m.
As with his address last spring, the President will not give a formal speech, but will address a number of topics, including the budget and its impact on the campus community and challenges for the new year.
Joining the president on stage will be provost Joseph Sheley, Faculty Senate Chair Bruce Bikle and Miguel Cervantes, Associated Students, Inc., president.
Jackie Donath, chair of the Department of Humanities and Religious Studies, will discuss the Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation. WASC is the regional higher education association responsible for the accreditation of colleges and universities.
