The University’s incoming freshmen will get an extra month to apply than their counterparts at most other California State University campuses. The deadline to apply has been extended to March 1 for seven CSU campuses, including Sacramento State.
The deadline for incoming freshmen was initially moved up to Feb. 1 under a system-wide mandate by the California State University. The new deadline was set in response to a $312.9 million cut to the California State University budget proposed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger last week. That deadline will remain in effect for most of the CSU’s 23 campuses.
Sacramento State enrollment targets for the 2008-09 academic year will remain the same as the current academic year.
“We have strong partnerships with high schools in the region,” says Edward E. Mills, associate vice president for Student Affairs, Enrollment and Student Support. “We will be communicating quickly to inform them of this change.”
Prospective freshmen for the 2008-09 academic year must apply online by 11:59 p.m. Saturday, March 1. All final transcripts, test scores and other supporting documents should be submitted as soon as possible. For more information visit
