sought in burglary investigation
University
Police are investigating a series of auto break-ins in January
and are asking for assistance from the campus community.
On
Wednesday, Jan. 25 Jack Brown and Acelia Soto were arrested
for breaking into cars on campus and stealing stereos, speakers,
amplifiers, and other items. They were found driving a blue
1996 Oldsmobile four door with California license plate #
5JJA963. The auto burglaries are believed to have occurred
between 9:30 a.m. and 2:56 p.m. The subjects are also suspected
of breaking into cars on campus on Jan. 19.
The
Police Department has recovered property that still has not
been accounted for. Anyone who may have been a victim of an
auto burglary or other campus crime, or who may have any information
regarding the subjects or vehicle mentioned above, is asked
to contact University Police as soon as possible by calling
the 24-hour number at 278-6851, by e-mailing police@csus.edu,
or in person at the Public Safety Building Police Public Counter
which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Information
can be given anonymously.

The deadline to submit a nomination for the Staff Employee

Writing
Conference
Writing Across the Curriculum invites instructors and administrators
at Sacramento State and in the Sacramento region to attend
the 2nd Annual Reading and Writing Across the Curriculum Conference
at Sacramento State. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m., Friday, Feb. 17 in the University Union Orchard and
Forest Suites.
The free half-day conference will feature a variety of panel
presentations on successful approaches to reading and writing
across disciplines. A conference program is available at www.csus.edu/wac/conference.
