Scholarship

Tony Platt, Social Work, has been invited to speak in March at Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, about his first book, The Child Savers (1969), and his most recent book, Bloodlines (2006).

Evri Kwong, Art, had a solo show of paintings titled, "It's a Beautiful World After All" on Jan. 25 – Feb. 16 at the Art Gallery at Modesto Junior College.

Recognition

Tom Knutson, Communication Studies, received the 2007 Faculty Award for Outstanding Contributions to International Education presented by Phi Beta Delta, the honor society for international scholars. The award will be presented at the Twenty-First Annual International Conference of Phi Beta Delta March 30, in San Antonio, Texas.
