Part-time instructors sought

Sacramento State anticipates a need for part-time instructors for the 2006-07 Academic Year. A master's degree in the subject area is the normal minimum requirement although a doctorate level degree is preferred. Supplemental degree requirements are listed with the subject area. Teaching experience in the subject area is desirable and may be required. Additional qualifications may be required by individual departments. Salary rate is variable depending upon qualifications and relevant experience.

Below are listed those subject areas in which there is an anticipated need to supplement applicant pools for part-time instructors. Applicants are asked to not telephone departments, but send a personal letter stating their interests and qualifications along with a supporting current resume to the appropriate department or college: c/o California State University, Sacramento, 6000 J St., Sacramento, CA 95819. Library
Master’s degree from an ALA accredited library program and experience or skill in reference, acquisitions, cataloging, access services, library instruction, or archival processing, information technology, systems, or digital libraries. Assignments may include weekday, evening, and weekend hours. Those appointed will be placed in a pool and called as needed for temporary assignments. Work schedules may be irregular.
