Career fairs help prepare students for future jobs

The University Career Center will hold its annual career fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the University Union Ballroom. Employers from the corporate sector, government agencies and non-profits are expected to attend this year. The fair is open to students and alumni.
           
The center will also host a series of job preparation workshops over the course of the semester. Students can practice interviewing techniques from noon-3 p.m., March 4, in the University Union Ballroom.
           
The annual engineering and computer science career day is 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., March 6.
           
On-campus recruitment will be held March 9 through May 8, with pre-registration.
           
Students can also stop by the Career Center to receive help with resume writing, job search strategies and interviewing skills. The walk-in service is offered 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
