Women’s History Month unites women across campus at Sacramento State
A hero can be a presidential contender or professor, a mother or grandmother, or a combination of any of those. During the month of March, heroes of all forms will be recognized as Sacramento State’s Women’s Resource Center celebrates Women’s History Month with an array of educational events highlighting women’s history, culture and achievements.

Geologist to present lecture in “disaster-vision”
Remember the paper 3-D glasses people wore to watch a disaster movie many years ago? Gerald Bawden of the United States Geological Survey will show how high-tech 3-D glasses are being used to visualize real-world disasters at the next Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) lecture, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, in the University Union Ballroom.

University’s Strategic Plan approved
Sacramento State’s Strategic Plan was approved after an extensive review process and wide consultation from different campus constituencies including faculty, staff, alumni and the campus community. “The Strategic Plan is the engine that drives the University’s planning priorities,” says Joseph Sheley, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. “These priorities shape the framework for why we exist.” The Strategic Plan is available at www.csus.edu/acaf/strategicplan121707.pdf. Dancers honor Linda Goodrich
After 15 years of directing performances for Sacramento Black Art of Dance, founder and director Linda Goodrich will get to sit back and let others handle the next show as the modern dance group’s choreographers pay tribute to her and her artistic vision.

Wind Works
The Sacramento State Wind Ensemble, UC Davis Wind Ensemble and Davis High School Symphonic Band will perform in the annual Festivity of Bands at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Capistrano Hall Music Recital Hall.
