events to highlight Women’s History Month
To
celebrate Women’s History Month in March, Sacramento
State will present a wide range of events that showcase the
achievements of women and explore some of the pressing issues
facing women today. Events range from a lecture by the first
and only woman to lead the Black Panther Party to a panel
discussion on reproductive rights.

Program
eases transition for students from China
The
second of three proposed agreements between Sacramento State
and universities in China to ease the transfer process for
Chinese students was formalized earlier this month.

A
Guaranteed Ride Home program is available for commuters
who use alternate transportation.
In the event a pre-registered participant or their commute
partner is required to work unscheduled overtime or
experiences a qualifying emergency, guaranteed transportation
is provided via taxi, or a rental car for those who
live more than 20 miles from campus, up to six times
in a 12-month period. Employees who travel to and from
campus at least three days per week—or 60 percent
of their work schedule—by bicycle, bus, carpool,
vanpool, light rail or walking may participate in the
program. Some restrictions apply.
