Sacramento State recently hosted the ACUI (Association of College Unions International) Region 15 Recreation Tournament, where contestants from California, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam and Australia competed in men's and women’s 9-ball pocket billiards, men and women’s table tennis and College Bowl, which pits teams of students who provide answers to questions with the winners moving on to the next round.

Sac State’s College Bowl team placed second of eight teams – the first team to make it to the regional championship games. Raymond Crosby, Rachelanne Smith, Teddi Scolarikis and Jared Anderson were all-stars from the 2007 campus tourney. Taryn Capizano won first place in the 9-ball pocket billiard competition and will be representing the region and Sacramento State in the national finals in July at Arizona State University.
