Veterans issues explored during live Sac State broadcast
A forum examining the issues of veterans and higher education will be broadcast live from Sacramento State’s Hinde Auditorium, 8:45 – 11 a.m., Monday, March 9.
The special broadcast of KQED FM’s Forum, with Michael Krasny, will include a panel discussion featuring Jeff Weston, Sacramento State’s Veterans Affairs coordinator; Bucky Peterson, chair of the Troops to College initiative, California Department of Veterans Affairs; and Catherine Morris, veteran counselor at Sierra College in Rocklin.
The public is invited, but capacity is limited to 180 people. The program can also be heard on KQEI FM 89.3 in Sacramento and KQED 88.5 FM in San Francisco.
Forum producers chose Sacramento State because of its large number of student veterans, and the panel will explore the many issues facing veterans as they pursue a course through higher education.
