California Journalism Awards to honor best reporting in 2008
Applications are being accepted from California journalists for the 15th annual California Journalism Awards and the Katharine M. MacDonald Award.
Entries must be submitted no later than Friday, April 17, and must have been published or broadcast in California between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2008.
California Journalism honors will be given in print, radio and television journalism categories and accompanied by a $500 prize. The Katharine M. MacDonald Award, along with $300, will be presented to a student journalist. The awards will be presented at the awards luncheon Wednesday, May 27.
The awards are sponsored by the Center for California Studies, Sacramento State and the Sacramento Press Club. They were established in 1994 to recognize excellence in reporting on California state government and politics.
