The lap and dive pools at Yosemite Hall have been closed since January because of leaks in the drain piping, and classes requiring the pool during the spring and summer semesters have been canceled.
Facilities Services is developing plans and bid documents to have the lap pool repaired in time for fall classes.
“The lap pool supports programs in the Kinesiology and Health Science Departments,” says Ronald Richardson, associate vice president for Facilities Services. “Because of budget issues and the limited funding available for deferred maintenance, we will focus our repairs on that pool first. The dive pool will remain closed for an unspecified period of time.”
