Lisa Beutler, Center for Collaborative Policy, moderated a panel on “State and Local Perspectives on Water Recycling and Integrated Water Resources Management,” at the Water Boards Water Education Workshop, held Feb. 23-24 in Chino, Calif. The annual event brings together the governor, appointed regional and state water board members, along with board executive staffs, for professional development on key water topics.

Alyson Buckman, Humanities and Religious Studies, presented her essay, “‘Go Ahead! Run Away! Say it was Horrible!’:  _Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog_as a Response to Dua Khalil Aswad's Murder,” at the 30th annual Southwest/Texas Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association meeting in Albuquerque, N.M., on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Buckman also co-chaired the Science Fiction and Fantasy Area at the conference.
