Book examines Clinton and Reagan economic legacies
Jack Godwin
In these tough financial times, the success of President Bill Clinton’s economic policies gets a second look in Jack Godwin’s new book, Clintonomics: How Bill Clinton Reengineered the Reagan Revolution.
Godwin is the chief international officer and director of Sacramento State’s Office of Global Education, a political scientist, and has extensive experience in business, government and higher education.
The book explores Clinton’s ability to demystify, but not oversimplify, the world around us. According to Godwin, “Clinton succeeded by repairing the flaws in Reaganomics and then presenting a governing philosophy appropriate for the 21st century and equal to the powerful forces of globalization.”
Godwin received a doctorate from the University of Hawaii, a master’s from San Francisco State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He was a Fulbright scholar in Germany and Hungary and a Peace Corps volunteer in Gabon, Africa.
The book is $27.95 and is published by Amacom Books. For more on the book, visit amacombooks.org or contact Godwin at 278-6686 or at jgodwin@csus.edu.
