Fifth Annual women’s mentoring conference this week
Sacramento State will host the annual Women Mentoring Women Conference 8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m., Friday, April 10, in the University Union.
The conference is an opportunity for attendees to meet and connect with professional working women and Sacramento State students. It is also a chance to share experiences and learn about mentoring for personal and professional enrichment.
A series of workshops on women’s issues will be presented. Workshops include “Tips and Trends for Today’s Job Market,” “The Mentoring Relationship,” “The Facts about Financial Aid and Debt Management,” “Taking Care of My Stress and Myself,” and “Work, Family and Relationships: Women Managing Multiple Roles.”
The theme this year is “A Tool for Personal and Professional Enrichment.” The keynote speaker is Alyson Huber, Assembly Member, District 10. Panelists include Dr. Judith A. Kjelstrom, director of the UC Davis Biotechnology Program; Mary Jane Lee, a Sacramento State computer science professor; Arianna Raymundo, a civil engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; Anna Ramirez, Director of the State of California Women’s Health Agency and Andrea Rosa, The Rosa Law Group.
