Workshops
to help prepare children for college
It is never too early for parents and their children to start
thinking about college. Sacramento State will team up with other
local colleges and universities from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday,
May 6 to invite students in grades six through nine and their
families to campus for the 12th annual “College: Making
It Happen” event in the University Union Ballroom.

State has offered employees telecommuting as a
commute choice since 1994. Telecommuting allows
an individual to work one or more days each work
week from their home or from a telecommuting center
close to their home. Individuals stay in touch
electronically. For more information regarding

Rowing
wins eighth straight against UC Davis
The Sacramento State women’s rowing team defeated
UC Davis in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, novice
eight and novice four competitions to take home the Jean
Runyon Cup for the eighth-consecutive year April 8 at the
Port of Sacramento.
