Forum to gauge opinion on future
of mass transit in Sacramento
You may not be able to do anything about rising gas prices, but you can have a say in the future of mass transit in Sacramento.
The Sacramento Regional Transit District will hold a public forum to present its transit master plan from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 8 in the University Union’s Lobby Suite. The event is open to the campus community and refreshments will be served.
“RT is preparing for the region's growing and changing transportation needs by updating the transit master plan,” said Laura Washburn, SRT marketing director. “The updated plan will guide us in developing and delivering projects and programs to the Sacramento community through 2035. In order for the plan to be successful, we need feedback from everyone including Sacramento State students, staff and faculty.”
The last Transit Master Plan was produced in 1993.
SRT and will also present its master plan for public feedback from 6 to 7:30 p.m., May 29, at the Alumni Center.
For more information on the forum, contact Washburn at (916) 556-0302.
