Welcome back—faculty, staff invited to annual fall welcome
Tuesday, Aug. 28, is the last day to make reservations for the President’s Faculty and Staff Fall Welcome, the annual get-together for all University faculty and staff and their families. It’s the traditional autumn kick-off event, hosted by President Alexander and Gloria Gonzalez.
This year the free event returns to a picnic-style gathering and will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 30, at Serna Plaza outside the new Hornet Bookstore. Visit www.csus.edu/president/fallwelcome to reserve a spot for you and your family.
Barbecue fare will be served, and there will be a bounce house for children and live music from the Jay Rolerz Band. The bookstore will offer guided tours and have more features for children, including story-telling and Clifford the Big Red Dog.
