Leadership changes

The summer brought changes to the leadership ranks at Sacramento State. New roles include:

Emir Jose Macari, former dean of the College of Science, Mathematics and Technology at the University of Texas at Brownsville, has been named dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences.

Otis Scott, interim dean of the College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies, has been named dean of the College.

Vanessa Sheared, former associate dean of the College of Education at San Francisco State University, has been named dean of the College of Education.

Joseph Sheley, executive vice president at Sacramento State, has been named interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.
