Emeritus Librarian John Liberty’s bibliography Journals of Dissent and Social Change has been reproduced in pdf format and is available in a full-text version in the University Library’s Eureka online catalog. The 500-page bibliography of the Library’s collection covers right- and left-wing, ethnic, gay and women’s movement periodicals from the 1900s through the 1990s. The creation of the Dissent and Social Change Project earned Liberty a listing in Who’s Who in America.

The scanning of Journals of Dissent and Social Change to digital format was overseen by Reference Librarian Hong Wang who is now responsible for alternative and dissenting library materials. Her research pamphlet, Political Science: Alternative/Non-Mainstream Publications, is available at the Library Reference Desk or online.
