Patti Nogales, Philosophy, had a paper entitled, “The Pedagogy of Teaching Introductory Symbolic Logic to Undergraduates from Different Majors,” accepted for presentation at the International Conference of Education, Research and Innovation, to be held in Madrid, Spain in November. It was also accepted for publication by the organization sponsoring the conference, The International Association for Technology, Education and Development.
Catherine Turrill, Art, was the first speaker in the 2008-09 Kingsley Art Club Lecture Series. She spoke on three Italian women artists of the Renaissance and Baroque periods on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Evri Kwong, Art, will exhibit recent works at the De Saisset Museum of Santa Clara University from Sept. 27 through Dec. 13. The "Evri Kwong: Just Pretend Everything is OK," show will be on view at American University Museum in Washington, D.C. from Jan. 24 through March 22. On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Kwong will join the playwright Erik Ehn and the poet Juan Velasco for a panel discussion, "Meditation into Action: Three Perspectives on Art, Social Justice, and Spirituality" (6 p.m., De Saisset Museum).
