STYLISH RIDE—The newly refurbished Sac State carriage stands on display in the University Union. The carriage will part of Homecoming Week activities Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 and will be featured in the return of the traditional Homecoming Parade along with marching bands, student groups and floats at 1:30 p.m., Oct. 1 down Carlson Drive from Glen Hall Park to Hornet Stadium. Jere Strizer, developer of the Town and Country Village shopping center, gave the carriage to the University and UC Davis in 1959 to serve as a trophy for the winner of the Causeway Classic, and it has since found a permanent home at Sac State.
