Students
play prominent roles in Gala
The University's Green and Gold Gala, a black-tie event held
on Friday, Oct. 6 in the University Union Ballroom, celebrated
philanthropists Eli and Edythe Broad's leadership gift of $2
million to build the Broad Athletic Facility as part of the
University’s Sports and Recreation Complex. And a significant
portion of the program honoring the Broads included Sacramento
State students and recent graduates.

An event billed as “an evening of art, music and the unexpected”
delivered with the announcement of nearly $5 million in gifts
during Friday’s Green and Gold Gala at Sacramento State.

Sacramento
State employees may ride all Sacramento Regional
Transit fixed-route transit services, including
Light Rail, by presenting a valid Sacramento State
OneCard with an employee transit pass. Passes
are $10 and are valid for six months (Jan. 1 to
June 30 and July 1 to Dec. 31). They can be purchased
at the Student Financial Service Center in Lassen
Hall or at the University Transportation and Parking
Services (UTAPS) office in Foley Hall.

Enduring
play revisits campus 50 years later
The
Crucible, Arthur Miller’s notable play about
the societal effects of intolerance and hysteria will kick
off the Department of Theatre and Dance’s 50th anniversary.
Directed by Gina Kaufmann, the play is a revival of the
first play ever performed at the University Theatre in Shasta
Hall. The performance will run from Oct. 13 to 29 in the
