Archives tours
The new University Archives Club will be leading tours of the Library's Department of Special Collections and University Archives at noon and 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11. The tours are part of the department's 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. open house in celebration of California Archives Week. Members of the club will be on-hand to answer questions throughout the event as well.

Spooky contest
The USA Halloween contest is back this year. Entries can be as an office or as an individual. An entry form is available at: www.csus.edu/usa/halloween/index.htm. The deadline for entries is 5 p.m., Oct 21. A printable flyer with more information is available at:

Adaptive assistance available
The Assistive Equipment/Auxiliary Assistance for Employees with Disabilities Program is designed to provide limited funding to defray costs for making reasonable accommodations in the form of assistive technology or services for otherwise qualified employees with disabilities or medical conditions. This program considers such requests as assistive devices, adaptive equipments, or auxiliary aids. Requests for funding for the 2005-06 academic year should be submitted to the Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Office by Oct. 21. However, additional requests may be submitted as need arises.

Rock, then vote
A free Rock the Vote voter-registration drive and concert will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 17 in Serna Plaza. The band lineup features Headrush, Gnosis and Downshift. The event is sponsored by Democracy Matters and in collaboration with the ASI Governmental Affairs Office and Rock The Vote. Political and non-political student groups will have information tables and help register students to vote.

Associate dean search
An internal search for is underway in the College of Business Administration for the position of associate dean for faculty. Screening of applications will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The position is expected to be filled by Jan. 6.
