NEW MUSIC, LEGENDARY MUSICIAN—
Jazz trombonist Wayne Wallace, who has played with greats like Sonny Rollins, and the Count Basie Orchestra, is among the headliners at the University’s 28th Festival of New American Music Nov. 3 to 13. Dozens of national, local and campus artists and composers will perform.

Pirate ship returns
The pirates of Peak Adventures invite the whole family to set sail with them during the 3rd annual Pirate Ghost Ship Spooktacular from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28-29 at the Challenge Center near Yosemite Hall. Tickets are $5 general and $2 for Sacramento State students and are available at the door. Parking will be available in Lot 1. Details: 278-6321
