Wandarah Anderson, a Sacramento State professor in the College of Health and Human Services, died Tuesday, Oct. 6 after a battle with cancer.
Anderson taught across the curriculum since 2001. She recently received tenure and promotion in the Division of Social Work.
“She was a tireless advocate for undergraduate students and enhancing the Social Work curriculum,” says Teiahsha Bankhead, associate professor and graduate program director in the Division. "The faculty, staff and students of the Division of Social Work mourn the loss of a bright light extinguished much too soon."
Anderson is survived by her husband of more than 20 years, Joseph Anderson, a professor of Social Work.
