Sacramento State to host first Clean Tech Summit

Sacramento State will host the first Clean Tech Zone Summit 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Alumni Center to discuss initiatives to bring clean technology to the Sacramento region.

University President Alexander Gonzalez and Dean of College of Engineering and Computer Science Emir Jose Macari will join Councilmember Kevin McCarty, Sacramento State Supervisor Don Nottoli and other government and business leaders scheduled to attend the summit. The event follows the annual Sacramento State Clean Energy Showcase-Venture Expo, 10 a.m-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, in the University Union. Sacramento State and the Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance (SARTA) sponsor the expo to showcase companies specializing in the design and manufacture of clean technology, devices and equipment.
