The Technology Fair 2008 will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., in the University Union.  High tech advancements in education will take center stage at the event sponsored by Sacramento State’s office of Information Resources Technology.

“Technology is moving at warp speed and Sacramento State, along with other university campuses, is at the center of innovation,” says Doug Jackson, associate vice president of Academic Computing. “The Technology Fair 2008 is a way to show our faculty, students and staff what innovations exist that can help us better serve our community.”

Presentations include: How to Find a Needle in a Digital Haystack, Unsung Desktop and Net Generation and the Future of the Web, Elluminate: Lighting the Way to a New Classroom, How to get a Response in the Classroom, and Digital Classroom Technologies.

In addition to presentations, the fair includes an exhibit hall with vendors showing off various technologies related to higher education. Vendors include Dell, Apple, Microsoft, AT&T Mobility and Main Street Tec.

There will be two door prize drawings for prizes donated by the various vendors but entrants must be present to win. Faculty, students and staff who want additional information can contact Jackson at jacksond@csus.edu.
