Ann Weldy, English emerita, had a play based on her novels (writing as Ann Bannon), “The Beebo Brinker Chronicles,” onstage in Manhattan at the New York Theater Workshop until Oct. 28.
Michael Vann, History, published two new articles: “Building Whiteness on the Red River: Race, Power, and Urbanism in Paul Doumer’s Hanoi, 1897-1902” was published in a special issue of Historical Reflections/Réflexions Historiques on French colonial urbanism; and “White Blood on Rue Hue: The Murder of ‘le négrier’ Bazin” was published in The Proceedings of the Western Society for French History.
David Zuckerman, Communication Studies, presented a paper entitled "On the Creation of Shared Government and Home Rule in Northern Ireland" at the 36th Annual Convention of the Jean Gebser Society, held Oct. 17-20 at the Eau Claire campus of the University of Wisconsin.
Caio Miguel, Psychology presented the invited address, “Naming and Categorization” at the Nevada Association for Behavior Analysis Conference on Oct. 20 in Reno, NV.
Charles Postel, History, has accepted a one-year position as a visiting assistant professor at University of California, Berkeley. He will be on partial leave from Sacramento State during the 2007-2008 academic year.
Robby Ching, Learning Skills, had her sabbatical project, Grammar for Expository Reading and Writing, published through the on-line community for high school teachers that is part of the Early Assessment Program of the CSU Chancellor’s Office.

Erika Holland, graduate student in Biological Sciences, presented her master's research entitled, "Reproductive Biochemistry of Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha)," co-authored with professors Ron Coleman from Biological Sciences and Linda Roberts from Chemistry, at the annual meeting of the American Fisheries Society, San Francisco, Sept. 2-7.
