Tabzeera Dosu named dean of University Library

Tabzeera Dosu has been named dean of Sacramento State’s University Library. The appointment will be effective Dec. 10.

In making the announcement, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Joseph Sheley said, “Ms. Dosu has extensive experience in shared governance, strategic planning and library construction fund management. We look forward to welcoming her to the University and furthering our institution’s success.”

Dosu comes to Sacramento State from the University of Virginia, where she is director of financial services and business operations and was recently a Senior Fellow at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. Prior to that, Dosu was director of library services at Butte Glenn Community College from 1997-2004.

She holds master’s degrees in business administration and library and information science, as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
