ASI
grant applications available
Applications for Associated Students grants for 2006-07 are
now available. Eligibility for grants is restricted to University-sponsored
programs and activities. To be considered for funding, departments
and programs must return the completed application packet
with 20 copies must be turned in to the ASI Government Office
in University Union no later that 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2.
Packets will not be accepted after the deadline.

Food
drive under way
The University Transportation and Parking Services food drive
is already up and running. It will continue through Dec. 16.
Donations may be made in food or cash, though cash is preferred
as it allows food items to be purchased in bulk. Every dollar
contributed will purchase an average of two-and-a-half pounds
of food. The most helpful food donation items are canned food,
dried and packaged goods, and baby food and formula. Food collection
boxes are available in each campus building and food may also
be dropped off at the two information booths at the north
and south entrances to campus or directly to the UTAPS office.

Winter Social time
The USA Annual Winter Social will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30
p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 6 in the University Union Ballroom. Highlights
include a lunch buffet and door prizes.

Univision and Telefutura Television Networks are holding auditions
for “Objetivo Fama” starting at 8 a.m., Monday,
Nov. 28 in various locations in the University Union. It is
open to aspiring singers and dancers between the ages of 18
and 28.
