Two new pieces of information are available at the Ramona Village Faculty/Staff Housing website at www.enterprises.csus.edu/village/.
The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for public comment. Comments are due by March 17. Printed copies of the DEIR are available at Sacramento State’s Library reference desk, and a PDF version is online at the Ramona Village website.
Also online are the survey responses and JD Franz Market Research’s final report from the campus survey taken in December 2005. There have been 141 respondents who have requested and received priority status for the waiting list that begins after homes are designed.

Staff Employee Recognition

Funding Alert Newsletter
The February issue of Funding Alert is now available. The newsletter is published monthly to alert the campus community to possible sources of external support for research, scholarly and creative activities. Both an abbreviated listing and a more detailed version are available on the website link, www.csus.edu/research/funding/alert/index.htm.
Highlights include the NSF Information Technology Experiences for Students (ITEST) competition and targeted funding opportunity notices in the following areas: arts, humanities, education, community development, health, mental health, science and engineering.

Violence and Sexual Support Services Program moves to Health Center
The Violence and Sexual Assault Support Services program, previously housed in the Women’s Resource Center, is relocating to Sacramento State’s Student Health Center, Room 125. The effective date of the move will be Friday, Feb. 8, with the program continuing to be coordinated by Jessica Heskin.
The Violence and Sexual Assault Support Services program was established to create awareness, to coordinate and centralize services for victims of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, or hate crimes and to educate the University community. The mission of the program, as well as existing services, will remain the same. The program will continue to provide direct advocacy services for victims of these crimes, as well as provide educational opportunities for the campus community.

Sacramento State’s Friends of the Library is having a special sale of business and economics books from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 6, 7, 15, 20, and 21. The sale will take place at the Book Bin on the lower level of the University Library. Hardback books will be $1 and paperbacks 50 cents. All proceeds benefit the library.

New On-line Applicant Recruiting System
The Office of Human Resources will go-live with a new on-line applicant recruiting system, Recruiting Solutions, on March 3. In order to prepare for go-live, HR will not be posting vacancy announcements for staff or MPP positions from Feb.18-29. The final posting date for staff and MPP position vacancies under the old system is Friday, Feb. 15. HR will continue to work with departments to fill vacancies posted under the current system. From Feb. 18-29, departments may continue to submit vacancy announcement to HR for posting in the new system following go-live. “New Request to Advertise” forms and procedures for search committee members to view on-line applications will be available prior to go-live.
