Reading and writing conference
Writing Across the Curriculum would like to invite professors across disciplines to attend a one-day conference on “Reading and Writing Across the Curriculum.” The conference will take place at the University Union’s Forest and Orchard Suites from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 29. University Union coffeehouse gets new look, name and menu
The old coffeehouse at the University Union underwent some transformation over winter break. Its new name —“The Buzz”— represents the Hornet buzz and the coffee buzz. The room also has a new color scheme, menu boards, updated directional signs and display area for student art.
The old salad bar has been replaced with a custom salad station and there are expanded grill offerings. Breakfast items now include breakfast sandwiches, cereal and oatmeal.

“Field of Life” artists’ lecture
Professor Ian Harvey and his wife, South Korean artist Koo Kyung Sook, will speak in connection with the "Field of Life" art exhibit at 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25, in the University Library Gallery.

Sacramento State employees may voluntarily donate to other employees up to a maximum of 16 hours of sick or vacation leave credits each fiscal year in one-hour increments. CSUEU, MPP, Unit 4, Unit 6 and confidential employees may donate up to 40 hours per fiscal year.
