Major traffic congestion anticipated with the “Fix I-5” Project
The “Fix I-5” Project begins May 30 and continues through mid July. I-5 commuters will be affected by lane and ramp closures from the Capital City Freeway/U.S. Highway 50 interchange to Richards Blvd. Major traffic congestion in that area, as well as on other freeways and surface streets in the region, is anticipated. The following web site links provide more detailed information regarding the project, live traffic cams, closures, schedules and alternate routes.
Commuters are encouraged to either use alternate forms of transportation or leave earlier to reach their destinations on time. For information regarding Sacramento State Commute Choices, go to www.csus.edu/utaps/commute_choices.htm. For additional assistance, contact Noel Carolipio, employee transportation coordinator, at 278-7527, or via e-mail at email@example.com.
