With the concurrence of the President, and after consultation with Library faculty, staff and administrative groups, Ric Brown, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, has announced the appointment of Tamara Frost Trujillo as Senior Associate Dean in Charge of the Library. Trujillo, who previously served in this status several years ago, will work closely with Associate Dean Fred Batt as the search for a permanent Dean gets under way. The appointment was effective on June 1 and will continue until the permanent position is filled.
Trujillo will work in consultation with Library personnel to finalize the strategic plan that has been in progress and propose next steps. That plan will form the basis for the vacancy announcement that is expected to be posted in early fall 2007.

Larry Kushman is a System Analyst in University Enterprises, Inc. He recently played a crucial role in the transfer of CSUS Trust Foundation accounts to University Enterprises, Inc. Other comments included that Kushman is a true team player and is very dedicated to his projects and the quality of his work.
Matt Mason works in the Automotive Services area of Facilities Management. During the time Mason has been here, he has come up with numerous ideas for cost savings and more efficient equipment utilization. Ellen Young is an Administrative Analyst in the University Library. Her nominator wrote that "her outstanding interpersonal skills put everyone at ease" and that her work is always completed "on time or early...and with exceptional accuracy." Young also developed a special web page for the Library's many student employees and the supervisors to find, in one place, information ranging from policies to paydays. She has also served on many library and University committees.
