Campus Announcements

Telephone upgrades scheduled for this weekend
Beginning Friday June 20, at 10 p.m. through Monday, June 23 at 2 a.m., Information Resources & Technology, Networking & Telecommunications Services will be working with a vendor to perform critical upgrades to the campus telephone switch in order to prepare the University to leverage data networks for telephone communications. During the upgrade process there will be sporadic telephone outages across campus lasting up to 2 hours during the weekend. In addition, voicemail services will be unavailable on Friday June 20, between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and midnight.  If you have any question or concerns before or during the upgrade process, please contact Networking & Telecommunications Services at x86867 or email uts@csus.edu.

Information Resources and Technology candidate open forums
University faculty and staff members are invited to attend the Open Forum portion of the interview process for the position of Operations and System Services Director.  During this forum, the candidates will be making presentations on the topic of “A Vision for the Future of University Data Centers” and answering faculty and staff questions.

Retirement reception

Submit promotional items to “The Sac”
Student Activities would like to express their gratitude to UEI and the Project Activity Grant committee for funding “The Sac,” a welcome backpack being given to all campus residents.

As a result of this donation all campus departments have the opportunity to submit promotional information/items for distribution in “The Sac” without incurring a fee.  Items can include brochures, fliers, pens, key-chains, etc., in the quantity of 1,500 pieces. Catastrophic Leave
Sacramento State employees may voluntarily donate to other employees up to a maximum of 40 hours of sick or vacation leave credits each fiscal year in one-hour increments. Bargaining Units 1, 8, 10 and 11 may only donate up to 16 hours per fiscal year. If employees are interested in donating time, a donation form can be obtained at www.csus.edu/hr/forms.htm#Disability, or by visiting the Human Resources Disability Leaves office in Sacramento Hall 162, or by calling 278-3522.
