of road closure
The infrastructure II utilities upgrade project continues in various locations.
Sanitary sewer pipe installation along State University Drive West will be the
most disruptive to the campus community this week. Beginning Wednesday, June
28 through Saturday, July 1, State University Drive West between Parking Structure
I and Stadium Drive will be closed to through traffic from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Signage will be placed in appropriate locations to direct traffic around the
closure.

Enterprises-Copy Graphics Center
Located near the Patio Café between the Bookstore and River Front Center,
the Copy Graphics Center offers a convenient, on-campus retail shop for color
and black-and-white photocopying, binding, laminating and large-format color
inkjet output. Check out the summer special offering color copies for 75¢
each (through July 31). The Copy Graphics Center accepts cash, VISA, MasterCard
and American Express. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through

Fat's Asian Marketplace
The Fat family of Sacramento has a long and proud tradition of excellent service
and award-winning cuisine. This summer, the Marketplace features an expansive
array of choices including grilled teriyaki chicken bowls, fresh grilled burgers,
salads and sandwiches. There is also a complete hot breakfast of eggs, choice
of ham, bacon or sausage, hash brown potatoes and toast. Or choose a breakfast
burrito or pancakes, or a grilled cheese or ham and cheese sandwich. The Café
side features delectable pastries, gourmet desserts and fresh-roasted Java City
coffee drinks and smoothies. Located in the River Front Center, breakfast is
served Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and lunch from 10 a.m.

Enjoy hot and hearty snacks including Hula Dogs, gourmet sausages, nachos and
hot pretzels. In the morning grab a cappuccino, latte, mocha or espresso served
with fresh donuts, muffins and bagels. Also available are Island Oasis smoothies,
Italian sodas, juices and eight different fountain sodas. Hula Dog is open Monday
through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2

New leadership
in Academic and Information Technology
Raymond Pina has been appointed manager of Academic and Information Technology.
Pina will work to provide an integrated service approach including consultation,
technical assistance and creative expertise in support of the teaching/learning,
research, service and outreach missions of the University. Previously, Pina
was an information technology consultant at Sacramento State.
Summer
Writers' Conference
Registration is underway for Sacramento State's second annual Summer Writers'
Conference, Aug. 18-20 at the College of Continuing Education. The conference
is sponsored in part by the College's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. The
conference, featuring keynote addresses from renowned authors John Lescroart
and Gail Tsukiyama, is an intensive weekend focusing on a variety of writing
workshops for all levels of writers. The conference also includes individual
critique meetings, luncheons, evening reading sessions (with dessert) and opportunities
to form peer networking groups.
Registration costs are $245
(before July 21) and $285 (after July 21). Registration is available at www.cce.csus.edu/writersconference

Catastrophic Leave
Donation Program
Sacramento State employees may voluntarily donate to other employees up to a
maximum of 16 hours of sick or vacation leave credits each fiscal year in one-hour
increments. CSUEU, MPP, Unit 4, Unit 6 and Confidential employees may donate
up to a maximum of 40 hours per fiscal year.
If employees are interested
in donating time, a donation form can be obtained by going to www.csus.edu/hr/forms.stm#Disability,
or by visiting the Human Resources, Disability Leaves Office in Sacramento Hall
