of summer hours
Summer office
hours (7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a half-hour lunch) will continue through Friday,
Aug. 25, and not end Friday, Aug. 18, as announced previously. The return to
regular business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an hour lunch) will begin Monday,
Aug. 28.
Check
out the calendar
The new Campus Calendar is up and running. The website, www.calendar.csus.edu,
contains a searchable listing of all Sacramento State events, even those that
take place off campus. It can be used to find athletics events, speakers, films,
meetings and any other non-class room-related event. It even lists the current
academic calendar with important deadline dates.

Safety Committee opening
There is a staff vacancy on the Campus Safety and Environmental Health Committee.
This committee meets at least three times per year and will advise President
Gonzalez regarding campus safety and environmental health concerns. If you are
interested in serving on this committee, secure your supervisor's permission
and forward your name and e-mail to Kem Albert, on behalf of Vice President
Stephen G. Garcia, at kem@csus.edu

Notice
of road closure
The Infrastructure II utilities upgrade project continues in various locations.
Sanitary sewer pipe installation in State University Drive West will be the
most disruptive to the campus community the next few weeks. State University
Drive West between the Sinclair Road intersection (adjacent to Parking Structure
I) north to Facilities Services will be closed to through traffic from 6 a.m.
to 6 p.m through Friday, July 21. Parking Structure I will be open but accessible
from the south only. Signage placed in appropriate locations to direct traffic
around the closure.
‘Christmas
in July’ buffet
The University Center Restaurant is offering a summertime lunch with a 'Christmas
in July' theme that includes roasted turkey, pork loin roast with apples and
cinnamon, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, grilled summer vegetable medley
and assorted gourmet salads. Desserts include pumpkin pie, pecan pie, hot apple
cobbler and ice cream. This special buffet is available Wednesday, July 19 and
Thursday, July 20 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for $11.95 per person (beverages
additional). The University Center Restaurant is located at the west entrance
to the University Union across from the Student Health Connection. More information

New catering
menu
Sacramento
State’s on-campus Togo's now offers a special catering menu. This convenient
alternative allows groups to place “to go” orders and pick up healthy
and delicious Togo's sandwiches, salads and accompaniments. Everything from
appetizer trays and 3- to 8-foot sandwiches to boxed lunches and desserts are
