Parking changes

A number of transportation and parking changes are underway this summer on campus. University Transportation and Parking Services has a new location at 7667 Folsom Blvd. The mailing address and phone number remain the same: 6000 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95819-6067 and (916) 278-7275.

With the summer off-peak parking period is in effect, all Sac State parking permits are valid in most faculty/staff and student parking spaces, including all parking structures. Student and daily permits are not valid during off-peak periods in the faculty-staff gated section of Parking Structure I and the faculty/staff spaces in the Lot 2, residence hall complex area.

Construction and other projects have sparked several other changes involving two parking structures and eight lots. For details on all the changes, visit www.csus.edu/utaps.

Evacuation exercise
Evacuation drills will be held in some campus buildings at 9 a.m., Friday, July 20. Buildings affected by the exercise are the art sculpture lab, Calaveras Hall, Capistrano Hall, Douglass Hall, Kadema Hall, Mariposa Hall, Mendocino Hall, the children’s center and all residential halls.

This is part of Sacramento State’s Emergency Management Plan for on-going training to give building coordinators and primary building contact staff the opportunity to evaluate the readiness of their emergency plan and see how staff responds to the situation.

The drill is expected to last 45 minutes. A debriefing will be held later to discuss the exercise.
