Faculty reports
The 2009-2010 Instructional Cost Report and Teaching Assignment Report, compiled by the Office of Institutional Research each summer, is available at The reports provide information on faculty workload during fall 2009 and spring 2010.

The reports are based on the Academic Planning Database which is submitted to and approved by the Chancellor’s Office.

The Instructional Cost Report, combined with information from human resources, calculates the personnel costs directly associated with instruction. The Faculty Course Assignment Report lists faculty members who taught in fall 2009 and spring 2010 and shows courses and sections taught, student course credits, section enrollment and FTE.

Password info
Information Resources and Technology will send an e-mail to most staff members next week encouraging them to update their Saclink password. IRT has simplified and improved the password changing process.

  • Users will form a new, easy-to-remember passphrase that’s much easier to create and remember.
  • The passphrase will be more secure than many passwords currently in use.
  • Users will provide information that will allow them to easily reset their forgotten passwords and ID.

Graduating Student Survey report
In the spring, the Office of Institutional Research administered a Graduating Student Survey to assess the quality and effectiveness of the educational programs and support services at Sacramento State.

The survey asked graduating seniors to share their views on a variety of issues covering many aspects of Sacramento State, as well as to relay their future plans.

Survey findings have been compared with the previous year’s results where applicable and are also broken down by college.

Computer security tip
Offices in high-traffic areas present a challenge for keeping confidential information secure. If you are in a high-traffic area use confidential folders for hard copy documents, position your monitor so it is not easy for passersby to see and always lock your computer and drawers when you are not at your desk, even if it is just for a quick break.
